The 9th annual Grand Rapids Community College Advisory Celebration was held on May 16th. We are happy to announce that the 2018-2019 advisory team of the year was the HVAC Advisory Committee, chair by Gary Rutman of the R.L. Deppmann company. This is the first time that the HVAC Committee has received this outstanding excellence award. Grand Rapids committee College has 26 advisory teams in place. Last year’s winning team was the radiologic technology advisory committee.
Successful programs are the result of cooperative and collaborative efforts between Grand Rapids Community College and its business, industry, labor, and community partners. The purpose of the advisory committee is to provide community-based information to the administration and staff of Grand Rapids Community College regarding the skills and competencies students need in a particular curriculum. By doing so the committee provides advice on new technology, emerging skill needs and other curriculum developments.
