- This fall, R.L. Deppmann employees will participate in a friendly competition through the collection of non-perishable food items to be donated to local food banks throughout the Detroit, Grand Rapids, Saginaw, and Cleveland areas.

- Xylem Watermark Walk for Water Challenge — June 2026
During the month of June, R.L. Deppmann participated in the annual Xylem Watermark Walk for Water Challenge for the fifth year in a row, supporting clean water access for those in need. Our employees formed teams and tracked their steps through the help raise awareness and funds for The Chris Long Foundation's Waterboys Built by Water campaign, a 10-year anniversary initiative aiming to expand clean water access for youth in both East Africa and the United States.
- Deppmann and AERCO Donate Supply-Filled Backpacks to Students for the Second Year in a Row — Summer 2026
This summer, R.L. Deppmann employees participated in a Backpack Build sponsored by AERCO for the second year in a row, assembling essential school supplies for students in need. In total, 240 backpacks were prepared for donation across our four offices — double the amount we put together last year.
- Xylem Watermark Walk for Water Challenge — June 2025
This summer, R.L. Deppmann proudly participated in the 2025 Xylem Watermark Walk for Water Challenge for the fourth consecutive year. Over the month of June, our employees formed teams and tracked their steps through the Pacer for Teams app to help raise awareness and funds for The Chris Long Foundation, Waterboys, which provides clean water to schools in need. Together, our teams logged over 9,400,000 steps all in support of this important cause.
R.L. Deppmann and Xylem raised $2,500 to help Flint-area children attend summer camp through the Friends of Scouting and the Michigan Crossroads Council. This initiative supports the development of future leaders by providing youth with meaningful opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive.
R.L. Deppmann and AERCO assembled backpacks filled with essential school supplies for students in the Detroit and Grand Rapids Public School districts. Sponsored by AERCO, this initiative reflects our shared commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work.
R.L. Deppmann employees partnered with Xylem Watermark and the Wine to Water Foundation to assemble 85 water filters for families globally who battle daily with contaminated drinking water.
- Xylem Watermark Walk for Water Challenge — June 2024
In partnership with Xylem Watermark, R.L. Deppmann employees participated in a virtual fundraising event to benefit the Chris Long Foundation, Waterboys. Waterboys is a charitable organization dedicated to bringing clean water to one million people globally. As part of the challenge, three teams of 10 Deppmann employees tracked their steps for the month of June to virtually “walk across the world,” raising awareness for the foundation. Across all challenge participants, we took 184,034,456 steps and raised over $31,000 to provide clean drinking water filtration systems for schools in need.
- Care Kit Build — November 2024
This fall, R.L. Deppmann employees assembled winter care kits for those experiencing homelessness in the communities where we live and work. Kits included items such as socks, gloves, toiletry kits, and more. In total 144 kits were assembled and distributed across four shelters in our Michigan and Northern Ohio territories. These organizations include Community Housing Network, Family Promise of West Michigan, Mustard Seed Shelter, and A Place 4 Me.
