Jon graduated from Saginaw Arthur Hill High School in 1970. He has experience as a surveyor, ironworker, and is a previous owner of a roofing and siding business. Jon graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 1987 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jon enjoys hunting, golfing and spending time with his 3 grandchildren.
