R. L. Deppmann is pleased to congratulate our very own Gary Rutman, a member of R.L. Deppmann’s Inside Sales Team, as he joins the GRCC HVAC Advisory Committee.
The Grand Rapids Community College Advisory Committee is composed of business and industry representatives who possess the potential to hire students from their respective field of study. These representatives are also chosen for their ability to advise the college on the content of the HVAC curriculum and future directions of the workforce.
Dan Ondersma functioned as the GRCC R. L. Deppmann Representative for 17 years, prior to his recent retirement. As Dan began his transition towards retirement, he has asked Gary if he would be interested in taking his place in the advisory role for GRCC. Gary agreed and was quickly elected to the Advisory Chair position for the bi-annual meetings.
When asked, Gary had the following to say about his new position with GRCC:
“I am confident that my 13 years within the industry and extensive factory training and experience will serve me well in this role. I feel honored to give back to an industry that has given me so much. The chair position was previously held by Gerald Holwerda II of River City Mechanical. I hope to represent Deppmann in this role and provide the Deppmann leadership & work ethic to the Advisory committee moving forward. ”
