How to Track an Order

Use Purchase History to open a sales order and review available shipment tracking information, carrier details, and order status.

Estimated time: 3 minutes Topic: Order Management Best for: Portal users
Remember: Our team is still here to help

The portal can show available tracking information, but Deppmann customer service remains available when shipment timing is critical or tracking does not answer your question.

Before You Begin

Log into the portal and have the sales order number, purchase order number, or approximate order date available.

  • Confirm you are signed into the correct account.
  • Locate the related sales order in Purchase History.
  • Remember that tracking may not appear until a shipment has been processed.
  • An order may contain more than one shipment or tracking number.

Steps

  1. Open Purchase History

Go to My Account and open Purchase History.

  2. Find the order

Locate the correct sales order using the order list, filters, or reference information.

  3. Open the order details

Select the sales order to view line items and shipment information.

  4. Locate tracking information

Review the available tracking number, carrier, shipment status, or tracking link.

    • Some orders may show multiple tracking numbers.
    • Tracking may be associated with only part of the order.
    • A tracking number may appear after the warehouse has processed the shipment.
  5. Open the carrier tracking page

Select the tracking number or link when available to view the carrier's current shipment details.

  6. Review remaining order items

Return to the sales order to see whether other line items are still open or waiting to ship.

  7. Contact Deppmann when more information is needed

Use Contact Deppmann when tracking is unavailable, delayed, or does not explain the current status.

Tips

Check line items separately

One sales order may ship in multiple packages or at different times.

Allow time for tracking to update

Carrier tracking may not show movement immediately after a label is created.

Keep the sales order number handy

It makes customer-service follow-up faster.

Confirm critical deliveries directly

For project-critical timing, contact Deppmann rather than relying only on carrier tracking.

Yes. Different items or packages may ship separately.

Where do I find tracking?

Open the sales order from Purchase History and review the shipment or tracking details.
