Racine Federated Inc. (RFI) headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin is an American manufacturer of water, steam and gas flow meters. Within RFI, there are three divisions that can provide any of your flow measuring needs.

Dynasonics has a complete line of ultrasonic flow measurement equipment, including portable, fixed position and multi-channel transit time and Doppler flow meters. Suited in a wide variety of pipe materials and range in pipe diameters from 1/4″ to over 120″. These meters are designed for long service life and low maintenance cost.

Preso, a manufacturer that offers commercial and industrial meters uses differential pressure technology with accuracies better than ±1% of reading.

Racine also uses ultrasonic technology to measure tiny vortices that form when media in the pipe move across a strut, or “bluff bar.” The Racine vortex meter has benefited from over two decades of research and development and is suitable for process plants and refineries measuring gases and steam.

New to the Ultra-sorb family, Model XV combines the proven energy savings of high-efficiency tubes with a condensate management strategy that makes it the most efficient steam dispersion panel available in the market. An industry first for pressurized steam, Ultra-sorb XV has an integral heat exchanger that vaporizes dispersion-generated condensate and returns pressurized condensate to the boiler without additional pumps, valves, or controls.

These flow switches incorporate key changes to address customer expressed needs of greater reliability and low flow sensing capabilities in a general purpose flow switch. Model FS251 and FS254 Flow Switches continuously monitor flow or no-flow conditions in a pipeline or system. They provide an electrical signal for starting or stopping signal lights, alarms, motors, automatic burners, metering devices and others.

A few key features are common switching mechanism for both the FS251 and FS254. 1” NPTM brass pipe connection. 1”, 2”, 3” and 6” stainless steel paddles standard. Sensitivity adjusting screw makes flow adjustment easy. Measured flow rate sensing of 5.8 gpm in 1” pipe in horizontal pipe installations, which is 18% lower than measured flow of comparable general purpose flow switches from major competitors. Some typical applications are: hot water heating systems, hot water supply systems, copper tube boilers, pump systems, liquid chiller systems, and water cooled equipment.

The SES line of wastewater products includes sump, effluent and sewage pumps, both vertical and submersible, fully assembled packaged systems that include the basin with cover, pump and accessories, dewatering pumps and multi-stage high head submersibles. This line covers a wide range of applications from residential to commercial. This series also has portable gasoline engine powered pumps for high volume dewatering applications for construction sites or farms that are capable of moving muddy water containing suspended solids.
